StartUpLite : A Tool That Speeds Windows' startup

StartUpLite allows novice computer users to speed up their computer`s load time by disabling or removing unnecessary startup entries safely and effectively. The program scans for a few dozen programs that are found on many computers but are commonly deemed unnecessary and can be safely disabled to speed up the load time of your computer. StartUpLite does not delete any programs, it only disables their auto-startup registration, which can be undone later if needed. Some of the programs it scans for include Adobe Gamma Loader, IgfxTray, TkBellExe, SunJavaUpdateSched, QuickTime Task and many others. StartUpLite also provides a short description for each item to help you decide which ones you want to disable or remove.

This useful executable helps identify and disable unnecessary start-up programs. StartUpLite's simple single window interface contains all the information needed to operate the applications.

Just run it and StartUpLite lists start-up programs it deems unnecessary. A short description is given for each item. Select programs also rate a short explanation describing how disabling the app would affect the system. Each listed program has three check box options to Disable, Remove, or perform No Action. Simply click to choose for each and press a single button to continue. The program removes or disables checked entries and recommends a system reboot.

StartUpLite doesn't offer a method to restore disabled programs, but presents a link to open Msconfig to perform the function. Less-experienced users should find this app helpful in uncovering unneeded start-up programs.
